I would be interested to learn how others dispose of the extractor dust. At present we tip into steel drums and this goes to the scrap man along with the offcuts. This is becoming a big problem as the scrap man is very reluctant. Any idea's?

We have used a hazardous waste contractor to take the waste away but our current best advice is that it is equivalent to scrap metal and our scrap metal merchant takes it.

Idea - ask for quotes from other scrap metal merchants and specify that an amount of metal and oxide dust will be included.  If you like and may keep your current one include them in the request for quote and make sure that they know that others have been asked.

We double bag (heavy duty plastic sacks), tie securely and place in skip provided for general waste. This then goes to landfill. This process has been cleared by our waste contactors (Fortress) and by their predecessor (Sita)
