The burgeoning specialism of photonics in the medical sector is addressed in this one-day meeting as part of Photon 08.
7 July 2008 Laser processing of micro-optics and interconnects
The Micro:Nano Group is delighted to present the first AILU lecture which is part of the Photonics KTN lunchtime lecture series. Laser processing of micro-optics and interconnects, Mike Osborne, OpTek Systems. If you missed the 10th micro-processing workshop in June 2008, it is an excellent opportunity for you to hear Mike talking about this topic. There is an opportunity to ask questions after his presentation.
4 June 2008 Industrial opportunities in laser micro and nano processing
A 1 day workshop on 4 June 2008 at Daresbury Laboratory, Warrington. Laser technology is vitally important in the micro and emerging nanoengineering fields, providing high-resolution, accuracy, speed and flexibility; in particular, its utilisation in the engineering of micro features is key to the technical and commercial success of many mass-produced components ranging from photovoltaic cells and panels, inkjet print heads and flat panel displays, to MEMS components, circuit fabrication and micro-hole drilling.
This workshop is the first day of a 2-day event addressing Industrial and research opportunities in laser micro and nano processing organised by the North West Laser Engineering Consortium (NWLEC).
8 April 2008 AILU Members' Meeting and Annual General Meeting
