Laser Additive Manufacturing is a topic that AILU has highlighted since the application first became a topic for academic and industrial research. Now, the technology is rapidly advancing in terms of throughput, precision and capability.
Growing fast, at a rate close to 50% year on year, the applications of Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM) are coming out of research and into mainstream manufacturing. But what barriers need to be overcome before the process is adopted more widely in industry?
This workshop seeks to address the issues of processes, hardware and software, materials, modelling, certification and testing. Alongside the programme will be an exhibition and a vendor forum where the latest innovations will also be presented, and more detailed discussions can be held.
AILU delivers a unique opportunity for researches, manufacturers, users and the supply chain for additive manufacturing to network and discuss the state of the applications today.
