Laser Process news

Cannock based engineering sub-contractor Laser Process ltd has, today, placed orders with Trumpf UK Ltd for laser cutting and ancillary equipment to the value of £440,000. This follows an investment of £550,000 eight months ago with the same supplier.

Laser Process has always been keen to invest in the latest technology in order to provide the best possible service to its customers and to maintain its position as a leading UK laser cutting organisation.

The present investment is for a 2530 plus laser cutting system and a V1700 pressbrake.

David Lindsey, managing director of Laser Process, states "we are pleased to be able to announce this investment and are hopeful that it will give out the message that British manufacturing is not on its last legs yet. The machinery used by Laser Process is widely considered to be the best in the world and this is important to a company like ours that always aims to provide the best service."

The company is currently working 24/7 and the new equipment, which is due for installation in Q4, will enable continued growth by providing extra capacity and, in the case of the pressbrake, provide scope to handle larger components.
