New Appointment Strengthens Expansion Plans

Leading sheet metal engineering company RE Cooke has appointed a new Sales and Key Accounts Manager to pave the way for the company's increased capacity when it moves to new premises early next year. Terry Gough, joins RE Cooke with thirty years' sales, management and shop floor experience with major UK and European engineering and manufacturing companies.

Born in the West Midlands, Terry joined his first company as an apprentice engineer and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations and Industrial Management at Sandwell Management College.

"The company already has a strong reputation in the engineering and manufacturing world with a Blue Chip customer base and I am looking forward to the challenge of expanding the work that we do with existing customers and bringing new accounts on board."

RE Cooke Managing Director Harvey Cooke, whose grandfather started the business in 1934, continued: "Terry's appointment is part of our overall expansion strategy both in terms of workload and workforce and his combination of sales and practical skills will make him an invaluable member of the team.

"We continue to invest heavily in new machinery to increase the quality and precision engineering of our metal cutting operations for customers in all sorts of industries and our new premises will house new laser and paint shop facilities."
