Open house emphasised customer support

Nearly 150 companies took the opportunity to see the latest production technology at the Trumpf UK headquarters in Luton during its recent In-Tech Open House. This event not only saw the UK launch of the company's new flagship flatbed laser machine, the TruLaser 5030, but it was also the first to be staged in the company's new Technology Centre.

In total nine of the latest machines from the main Trumpf technology groups were demonstrated to almost 300 visitors, matching the figure for the 2005 event. "The main purpose of this year's In-Tech however was to emphasise to British manufacturers the importance Trumpf attaches to customer support," explained General Manager, Dave Foulks. "In the UK we have invested in the region of £400,000 in developing this Technology Centre. The facilities we now have for pre- and post-sales support are second to none."

The icing on the cake at In-Tech 2007 were confirmed orders totalling £2.4 million, spanning several Trumpf technology groups.
