2008 Laserdyne® User Group Meeting Announced Following 2007 Meeting

Champlin, Minnesota: Prima North America announced that it will hold its next Laserdyne User Group Meeting October 1 - 2, 2008 near its Champlin (Minneapolis), Minnesota facility. This announcement was made at the conclusion of the successful User Group Meeting earlier this month.

"The value of this forum for the exchange of information and ideas on laser processing and for introduction of new laser system technology was confirmed many times during this meeting. Feedback from our customers led us to begin plans for the next meeting, now scheduled for October, 2008," reported Terry VanderWert, president of Prima North America. "Attending were representatives of North American and International companies – a true cross section of aerospace, automotive and contract manufacturing industries were present. The agenda for next year's meeting is being prepared through a Users Group Steering Committee made up of Laserdyne system users. We also encourage those planning to attend to suggest topics for discussion and demonstration. Already included on the agenda is demonstration of closed loop hole size control based on airflow measurement, a topic that generated a great deal of interest at this past meeting."

The first day of the two-day ‘08 conference will feature speakers from Laserdyne, as well as system users from around the world. The second day will include a tour of the Laserdyne Technology Center where systems demonstrations based on real world laser processing needs will be made. The meeting, as well as the Technology Center visit, will focus on addressing everyday challenges in laser processing and provide practical input on ways to obtain the best quality and highest productivity from Laserdyne systems.

As with all Laser Group Meetings, there is no cost to attend other than travel and living expenses. Laserdyne will provide lunches both days and dinner on Wednesday, October 1st. A Group Discount rate has been arranged with the hotel at which the meeting will be held.
