Subcon 2008 complemented by key manufacturing shows

Subcon, the annual exhibition for buyers of subcontract manufacturing, returns to the NEC, Birmingham, from 22 to 24 April 2008.

Subcon is an international event that covers the whole spectrum of contract manufacturing and gives visitors the opportunity to source all their outsourcing needs under one roof. Exhibitors from the UK, Europe and around the world offer everything from machined parts, electronic assemblies, castings, plastic mouldings and metal fabrications, through to full manufacturing services, design and build, and rapid prototyping.

The 2008 event will be co-located with several complementary events that will allow visitors to take an even broader look at their sourcing requirements – including deciding whether or not to make components themselves and when to buy in proprietary drives and controls.

For companies manufacturing products in-house, MACH 2008, which runs from 21 to 25 April 2008, is the UK's showcase for manufacturing technologies. It encompasses both metal cutting and metal forming machine tools along with ancillary products and services. Organised by the Manufacturing Technologies Association, MACH attracts over 500 exhibitors and more than 22,000 visitors.

Drives and Controls, organized by DFA Media and running from 22 to 24 April 2008, is the UK's premier event for automation, drives, power transmission and motion control.

Subcon 2008 Event Director, Jon Hughes, said, "As an annual event, Subcon is a must-see show in its own right, but with the added benefits to visitors of taking a broader look at their whole make/buy strategy this will be the highlight of the 2008 calendar for anyone in manufacturing. Any company that offers subcontract services and is serious about reaching the key buyers in Britain's leading companies should certainly be exhibiting at Subcon 2008."
