Lantek opens a new technical support office in Argentina

Lantek, the global leader in the developing and marketing of integral CAD/CAM and ERP solutions for the sheet metal sector, reaffirmed its commitment to the Latin American market by opening a new customer service and support centre in Argentina. This new office is the latest step in the company’s international expansion strategy.

The South American market has experienced rapid economic development, and there are prospects for significant growth in the consumption of machine tools for sheet metal applications. Lantek has already seen a considerable increase in demand for its CAD/CAM and ERP software in the region, and anticipates that this will rise as more sheet metal machinery is installed and requires the support of software solutions.

The new Argentinian office will be staffed initially by three highly skilled CAD/CAM and ERP specialists and will provide much closer technical support and after sales service, for Latin American customers and prospects, directly from the authors of the software. The new facility will collaborate with Lantek’s office in Mexico and work with its existing South American distribution network to ensure the maintenance of the high quality service its customers have come to expect.

Joseba Pagaldai, Commercial Director of Lantek, said, "Before the opening of the Argentinian office we supported the Latin American market, through manufacturers and distributors, from our offices in Mexico. Due to the spectacular growth in the market and the excellent future prospects it has become commercially viable and imperative to support customers directly with Lantek personnel based in the region. We believe that by opening our office in Argentina, with staff trained exclusively to offer support for our solutions, we will ensure a high quality service which provides greater added value for our customers and manufacturers, as well as strengthening our international presence."

Lantek understands the importance of international markets for its software, and has been committed to strengthening its representation world wide since its launch. Its aims are to establish a direct presence in all the regions where its solutions are marketed, so that it can be closer to its customers and provide the best after sales service and support. The company’s exponential growth drives its expansion programme and provides a strong guarantee of quality and continuity for its customers.

Joseba Pagaldai continued, “This is Lantek’s 19th office. Since we opened our first office in France in 1991, we have developed a major international strategy enabling us to gain a large share of the market in countries such as Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Poland, Czech Republic, USA, India, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Mexico and China, where competition is fierce. Our success has enabled us to obtain over 70% of our turnover from international sources and exceed the landmark figure of 8,200 customers from more than 90 different countries in 2007. Our success within the sheet metal industry is an endorsement of the technical superiority of our CAD/CAM and ERP solutions and the value we can bring to our users.”
