Sales totalling 60 million Euros at Euroblech

“EuroBLECH 2008 has met all our expectations and yes, it went far better than we had originally predicted given the difficult global economic situation,” confirmed Trumpf Manager, Dr. Mathias Kammüller. During the run of this leading trade show for sheet metal processing Trumpf sold more than 190 machines and lasers with an overall value of approximately 60 million Euro. This nearly broke Trumpf’s EuroBLECH sales record in the 2006 boom year.

Around 70,000 visitors from 70 countries came to EuroBLECH and Trumpf welcomed 28 large foreign delegations. Visitor numbers were up by 8% on 2006 and 2,830 individual companies spent time on the TRUMPF stand, an increase of 12.5% on the previous show. Another pleasing statistic was that 26% of the visitors to Trumpf were new contacts.

All Trumpf technologies were of course represented on the stand but the lion’s share of orders went to the TruBend press brakes and TruLaser flat bed laser processing centres. These included orders for 23 of the new TruBend 7000 machines and 8 for the TruLaser 3030 NEW; both machines are featured at the Trumpf Open in the UK from Tuesday 2nd to Thursday 4th December 2008.
