Laser Physics UK Ltd introduces new L8 rated eyewear

Sperian Protection, a worldwide leader in laser eyewear technology, brings a new first to the market with the launch of two polymer laser safety filters providing protection levels which were previously only possible with glass technology.

Sperian has developed laser safety eyewear implementing state-of-the-art polymer filter technology and achieving EN 207:2009 protection levels such as D LB 6 + IRM LB 8 at 1064nm and at 532nm.

Previously, users requiring such high protection levels were obliged to use glass eyewear solutions. By nature, polymer filters are significantly lighter than their glass counterparts. In addition, there are enhanced possibilities for design and comfort features with polymer. Sperian employs its capability to harness these factors, creating polymer eyewear which enables you to work efficiently and safely all day long.

These lightweight, innovative polymer filters are available in the popular Sperian XC® frame style. Sperian XC encompasses the entire eye thereby ensuring user safety, whilst the soft elastomeric brow guard and flexible “nose bridge fingers” cushion every point of contact with the face. The temple length and inclination are adjustable, to ensure the best individual fit and optimal comfort.

The full range of Sperian laser safety eyewear are available form Laser Physics UK Ltd.
