LVD adds workshop management tool CADMAN-Job to CADMAN software products suite

LVD Company nv has expanded its CADMAN® suite of offline software products to include a new workshop management tool, CADMAN®-Job. CADMAN-Job organizes and schedules the fabrication shop workload, classifying and grouping jobs in the most efficient manner to increase throughput, minimize set-up time and streamline work flow.

CADMAN-Job manages the day-to-day relationship between a user’s ERP system, CAM and workshop to optimize machine production time and fabrication resources. The software creates or imports work orders from an ERP system, generates jobs for bending, punching or laser cutting, minimizing tool/turret setup, lens/nozzle change.

CADMAN-Job also tracks the progress of each work order, provides estimated and real production time information, and generates lists to launch any re-work necessary.

CADMAN-Job is an extension of LVD’s CADMAN offline software, a PC-based CAD/CAM system that operates on a Windows® platform. CADMAN is designed to streamline the fabricating process through a single, complete offline system for the design, unfolding, punching, laser cutting and bending of sheet metal parts.

CADMAN-Job complements CADMAN-OEE, an integration module used to examine and measure equipment productivity and performance effectiveness for a variety of sheet metalworking machinery.
