TRUMPF Open house

TRUMPF Technology Centre, Luton 14th – 16th May 2013

‘Focus on functionality’ is the main theme of TRUMPF’s new Open House. As well as marking the introduction of two new machines to the UK, the event will stage a complete process chain. It will demonstrate TRUMPF’s ability to be a one-stop-shop for sheet metalworking production and the benefits of machines, processes and software operating in complete harmony.

The two new systems appearing for the first time in the UK at this event are the TruLaser Cell 3000 and the TruLaser 3030 fiber.

No other comparable standard machine offers the same level of flexibility as the TruLaser Cell 3000, the new 5-axis laser machine for 2D and 3D cutting and welding. Whatever the requirement, from one-off prototypes to high volume production, this machine provides a cost efficient means of manufacture.

While the new TruLaser 3030 fiber offers distinct productivity benefits in the thin sheet range, its single head cutting concept allows the machine to economically cut sheet thicknesses up to 20mm. Highly energy efficient and easy to programme, this machine can also be used for cutting copper, brass and other non-ferrous metals.

This new machine completes TRUMPF’s unique portfolio of 2D laser cutting machines; every TruLaser series can now be equipped with either a CO2 or solid state laser.

The TRUMPF Open House production line will demonstrate the ability of its machines in providing end-to-end production and that of its TruTops Fab software to control and optimise the processes. It will show a component laser cut, bent, laser welded and finally laser marked.
