Successful event for Bystronic

Bystronic UK hosted a successful Innovation 2013 event at their Coventry showroom with over 80 visitors. The event ran for 3 days and focused on the launch of their latest C02 laser, the ByAutonom and the latest BySoft 7 software. Bystronic also included guest speakers on finance, with the Manufacturing Advisory Service giving up to date information and advice on grants and representatives from AILU, the Association of Laser Users, giving information on the services available.

The ByAutonom machine was first unveiled to the world at Euroblech 2012 in Germany, where it won the MM Award for the most innovative machine at the show. The name Autonom says everything about the machine, the dictionary explains “Autonomous machines can perform desired tasks without continuous human guidance” or simply put “Our customers define the objective, the machine achieves it”!

The ByAutonom laser gives the highest level of productivity and maximum parts output based on linear drives and lightweight construction. The use of highly efficient laser sourses with low gas consumption, results in low operating costs.

The latest software from Bystronic, BySoft 7, offers numerous innovations, including new possibilities for parts construction and new nesting techniques. With BySoft 7, users can optimize their material and time requirements, as well as machine workloads – thereby increasing efficiency and competitiveness. The software package comprises four modules: Sheet Processing, Bending, Tube Processing and Plant Manager. Now completely integrated into BySoft, Plant Manager allows users to keep a constant overview of their cutting and bending processes. All four BySoft modules can also be ordered individually. As from now, all existing Bysoft users are able to upgrade their software to BySoft 7.

Having the guest speakers at the event gave visitors the opportunity to find out more about making the most of financing options, explaining the ins and outs of new higher rate Capital Allowance and available Regional Growth Fund (RGF) Grants. This was led by the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and Deutsche Leasing.

The guest speakers from The Association of Laser Users (AILU), a leader in fostering co-operation and collaboration within the laser community, talked about best practice in industrial laser materials processing and allied technologies and explained the maintenance and improvement of standards for laser safety and performance.

David Larcombe, Bystronic UK’s Managing Director comments:

“We greatly appreciate the support of the many customers that attended the 3 day seminars and ByAutonom Launch and also the time given freely by the guest speakers. Their contribution proved valuable in making the day interesting to our many and varied visitors.

The Launch of the new ByAutonom Laser was extremely well received with 5 orders placed for the machine in the UK to date”.
