Fighting youth unemployment

Before hosting a meeting of European leaders to discuss sky-high youth unemployment in the Eurozone, the German Chancellor visited TRUMPF in Ditzingen. It gave TRUMPF employees the opportunity to question their political leader and for Frau Merkel to learn about the company’s own commitment to youth development and education.

TRUMPF has always held the view that education is essential to innovation. In co-operation with local schools and universities, the company is involved in developing education projects, supplying teaching materials and supporting students with grants and scholarships.

This commitment is worldwide and in the UK TRUMPF is pleased to do all it can to capture the imagination of tomorrow’s engineers. It too works closely with the education establishment and remains a staunch supporter of the modern apprenticeship training scheme. Currently TRUMPF UK employs six engineering apprentices.
