Thinklaser to implement major expansion programme into new markets

Thinklaser, an AILU member based in Reigate, Surrey, will be undertaking a major business expansion programme commencing at the start of the company’s new financial year in November 2014.

The company is launching its state-of-the-art range of Flatbed Laser Cutting and Laser Engraving Machines in November 2014 which will provide a new revenue stream as well as complementing its existing successful portfolio of Galvo based laser marking and laser engraving machines.

To enhance their expansion strategy, Thinklaser have also created a new Business Development Manager role to launch and introduce their range of new products to new clients and markets. Carol Wilson will be joining the company in the business development role as part of the expansion programme. Carol has over 20 years of successful sales experience working with a number of multinational manufacturing companies.

Carol says, “I am really excited to be joining Thinklaser at a time when they are introducing innovative new products and combining them with world class levels of customer service. My entire career has been spent winning new business and maintaining growth by going above and beyond customer expectations. This is something I am keen to continue with at Thinklaser.”

Thinklaser will also be taking delivery of its first 3D printing units in order to expand the portfolio of the company’s subcontract service department in the next two months. David Liddle, confirmed as Thinklaser’s Subcontract Services Manager following a probationary period, will be responsible for further growing the subcontract services that Thinklaser provide. David will be working closely with Carol when Thinklaser introduce two new Flatbed Units into its services portfolio adding laser engraving and laser cutting into its existing service offering of laser marking.

David Liddle says, “This new technology will provide an added dimension to the capabilities that we already have. It means that we can boast one of most comprehensive laser based bureaus in the UK.”

Adrian Norton, Managing Director, Thinklaser, confirmed the company is currently enjoying successful growth in the UK market, however it needs to expand and innovate both its portfolio and markets in order to continue the growth. Adrian says, “This new range of laser cutting and laser engraving machines that Carol is managing will create markets not normally addressed by the more traditional laser marking and engraving systems that we manufacture. The introduction of a new laser cutting capability will also create new opportunities for us.”
