New Comet-IPL for Measuring Energy of Intense Pulsed Light

The new Comet-IPL, from Ophir Optronics, is specifically designed for measuring energy of IPL (Intense Pulsed light) sources simply and accurately. Its low cost makes it particularly suitable for use by service personnel or end users of IPL machines. There are several versions of this instrument available to match different IPL head dimensions. The instrument can measure total energy in Joules, energy density in J/cm², or the power of a continuous source in Watts. In each case, the result can be displayed either as a measurement number or a GO / NO GO indication. Calibration accuracy is ±8% for most IPL sources, repeatability is ±2% and there is provision for user calibration. The Comet-IPL is available now from BFi OPTiLAS.
